Orpha Kauffman

Orpha M. (Younker) Kauffman, 91, of Fayetteville, PA passed away Saturday, February 25, 2023 in the Shook Home, Chambersburg. Born August 12, 1931 in Hancock, MD she was the daughter of the late Raymond I. Younker, Sr. and Annabelle Younker.
She was employed as an inspector and basting puller at Stanley Company until her retirement. After retiring Orpha obtained her Certified Nursing Assistant and went to work for the Shook Home for number of years. She enjoyed watching the Game Show Network, playing bingo and most of all spending time with her family.
She is survived by two daughters, Lisa M. Kauffman and Samantha A. Lane and her husband Terry both of Fayetteville; two granddaughters, Paige M. Lane and Erika R. Lane; two great-grandchildren Orpha Ann Abrhams and Terri Joan Fickes; a sister, Telitha Shives of Boonsboro, MD and a number of nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Harry R. Kauffman who passed away March 2, 2004; and four brothers, Sylvester, Lester, Raymond, Jr. and Donald Younker.
A graveside service will be held 2:00 PM, Friday, March 3, 2023 in Norland Cemetery, 2295 Philadelphia Ave., Chambersburg, PA 17201 with Rev. Murray Stevens officiating. Arrangements are by the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, Chambersburg.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital at www.stjude.org.
