Pamela Sue Helman, 63, of Chambersburg, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on July 19, 2026. Born on June 27, 1963, in Hershey, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of Stanley Hetrick and Mary Lu Hetrick. Pam was known for her loving heart, quiet strength, and unwavering devotion to her family. She embraced life’s simple joys and found her greatest happiness in spending time with those she loved most.
Pam was married to the love of her life, Michael, for 39 years and proudly supported him during his service in the United States Air Force. Together, they lived in Omaha, Nebraska, before eventually settling in Chambersburg, where they built a home filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories.
Above all, Pam was a devoted wife, mother, and Mimi. She is survived by her husband, Michael A. Helman Jr.; her mother, Mary Lu Hetrick; her three daughters, Courtney Burkholder, Samantha Peet, and Molly Hafer; and her sister Jill Quynn. She was a proud and loving Mimi to Michael and Holden Burkholder, Emma Helman, and Colson Hafer, each of whom brought her immeasurable joy.
Pam had a special place in her heart for her beloved miniature Goldendoodles, Hattie and Bodie, whose companionship brought her endless comfort and happiness in addition to all of the family pets over the years. She loved family vacations to the Outer Banks, where the sound of the ocean and time spent together with family created some of her happiest memories.
Services will be private. Arrangements are entrusted to the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, Chambersburg, PA. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial contributions be made to the Cumberland Valley Animal Shelter in Pam’s honor, reflecting her lifelong love for animals or to the Cumberland Valley Breast Care Allianc.
