Patricia L. “Pat” Malone age 89, of Chambersburg, and formerly Fayetteville, PA, died on Saturday, May 4, 2024 at the Menno Haven Chambers Pointe nursing home. Born February 5, 1935 in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late Thomas J. II and Bertha Lambert.
She was married for 62 years to her late husband, John Donald “Don” Malone Sr.
Pat was a graduate of the Institute of Notre Dame in Baltimore, and she was a retiree of C&P Telephone/AT&T. She was a devout Catholic, devoted mother and enjoyed sewing, quilting, knitting and crafts. She also was a breast cancer survivor.
She is survived by her six children, John D. Jr., of Indianapolis, IN; Michael P. (wife Beth) of Deep Creek MD; Kathleen M. (husband John Devlin) of Mount Airy, MD; Lawrence J. of Charleston, WV; David P. (wife Catherine) of Charlotte, NC, and Patricia A. (husband Stephen Ziegler) of Ellicott City, MD. She was the loving grandmother to 14 grandchildren: Keegan (wife Elizabeth), Kara (husband Timothy Gazdziak), Devan (husband Austin Rovito), Kelly, Rebecca, Lia, Megan (husband Brian Cabrera), Robert, Delaney, Sean, Sydney, Sarah, Justin, Zachary. Pat also had four great grandchildren – Daniel Gazdziak, Massimo Rovito, Dino Rovito and Thomas Cabrera. Pat also is survived by her brother Thomas J. Lambert III.
A memorial mass will be held on Tuesday, May 21, 2024 at 11 am in St. Andrew Catholic Church, 12 N Broad St., Waynesboro with Rev. Christopher Onyeneke, MSSCC celebrating. Inurnment will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Alzheimer’s Association at act.alz.org.
