Paul A. Etter

Paul A. Etter, 77, of Fayetteville, PA, passed away on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, at WellSpan Chambersburg Hospital. He was born on November 27, 1948, in Fayetteville, PA to the late Paul E. Etter, Sr. and Mary M. (Miner) Etter.

Paul was a 1968 graduate of Chambersburg Area Senior High School and honorably served in the United States Army. During his time in the Army, Paul was awarded the Bronze Star Medal, Good Conduct Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Army Commendation Medal, and the National Defense Service Medal. He then went on to work at Letterkenny Army Depot until his retirement. He was a volunteer firefighter for Fayettevillle Volunteer Fire Department from 1975 – 2025. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and riding motorcycles.

He is survived by his wife, Linda S. (Deardorff) Etter of Fayetteville, PA, whom he married on March 3, 1973; daughter Amanda J. Cummings and her husband Wes of York Haven, PA; son David A. Etter and his wife Emily of Fayetteville, PA; brother Harold E. Etter and his wife Dorothy of Chambersburg, PA. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother Paul Etter, Jr.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, May 30, 2026, from 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM at the Lucky Seven Event Center at the Fayetteville Volunteer Fire Department, 101 W. Main Street, Fayetteville, PA 17222. Arrangements have been entrusted to Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center.
