Peggy J. Pentz

Peggy J. Pentz, 95, of Chambersburg, PA, passed away on Tuesday, June 16, 2026, at WellSpan Chambersburg Hospital. She was born on March 9, 1931, in Chambersburg, PA to the late Raff Albert and Florence Idella (Alexander) Eshelman.

Peggy was a member at King Street Church in Chambersburg, PA. She was employed as a cook with the Chambersburg Area School District. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is survived by her son Michael D. Pentz (Ann) of Chambersburg, PA; grandchildren Robin Ashley Pentz (Kevin) of Chambersburg, PA; David Michael Pentz (Emily) Chambersburg, PA; William Edward Pentz (Samantha) of Shippensburg, PA; great grandchildren Samantha, Kensi, Elliot, and William; sister Louise Gift of Chambersburg, PA. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband George W. Pentz, who passed away on March 10, 2008, brother Raff Allen Eshelman, sister Jennie May Reese, and stepmother Martha Rebecca Rotz Swartz.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center.
