Philip Laird Wheeles

Philip Laird Wheeles, 65, of Fayetteville, PA, passed away on Sunday, March 22, 2026, at his home with his family by his side. Born December 14, 1960, in Bethesda, MD, he is the son of Betty Hammond Wheeles and the late William Joseph Wheeles.

Philip was employed as a roofer. He was the owner/operator of Roofing Contractor and later P.L. Wheeles Construction. A hard worker, he enjoyed his job and working with his hands. Philip also enjoyed deep sea fishing, tattoos and riding his motorcycle.

In addition to his mother, Philip is survived by his wife and partner of 35 years, Rosemary Smith Wheeles, whom he married on October 25, 2001; eight children, Steven Wheeles (Melissa), Thomas Wheeles, Daniel Wheeles, Katelynn Davis (Jake), Andrew Wheeles, Sadrina Wheeles and Samantha Wheeles; fourteen grandchildren; six siblings, Jo Lynn Harris, Richard Wheeles, Janae Carr (Richard), Steve Wheeles (Christine), Teresa Farkas (Ken), and Tim Wheeles (Celeste); and numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
