Ray L. Etter, 88, of Chambersburg, PA passed away Wednesday November 26, 2025 after a lengthy illness. He was born on December 3, 1936, in Chambersburg, PA to the late Russell W. and Edna May (Sellers) Etter.

Ray was the owner of the Sunoco station in Fayetteville from 1962 until his retirement in 1993. He served in the Army during the Korean War and was honorably discharged. He enjoyed golfing, boating and his time spent living in Florida.

Ray is preceded in death by his wife Doris whom he was married to for over 50 years, two brothers Glen and Merle, and a sister Betty. He will be missed by his son Troy, wife Marty and a granddaughter Alicia.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 1, 2025, at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA 17202 with Pastor Mark Baliles officiating. Burial will follow in Lincoln Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Monday, from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to your veteran’s organization of choice.
