Robert “Bob” Eugene Appenzellar, 85, went to be with his Lord at his home surrounded by his family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Merle Stanley and Gladys Sarah Appenzellar; two brothers, Fred and Larry; and his mother-in-law Bonnie “Mom”.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia Gail Sheppard Appenzellar, whom he called the love of his life for 44 years; his children Steven Joseph Appenzellar and wife Robin, John Howard Appenzellar, and Joshua Allen Appenzellar and wife Ashley; special family friends Chip and Heather Stoher; grandchildren Levi, Shaye, Benjamin, Ariana (Aaron), Naomi, Nayleen, Emma, and Ian; great-grandson Archie; and his sister, Nancy Farrow and husband Danny. Bob loved his family. He put God first, then wife, kids, grandkids, and great-grandson.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, April 7, 2023 at the Chambersburg Church of the Brethren, 260 South Fourth Street, Chambersburg, PA 17201. Rev. Liz Thorpe and Rev. Cheryl Filson will officiate. The family will receive friends immediately following the service. Private interment will be in Lincoln Cemetery.
