Robert Lee Ray, age 55, of Fayetteville, PA, passed away Friday morning, May 6, 2016 at his home after a two year battle with cancer. He was the son of Nancy Ray-Rice and the late George Ray, Jr. He was predeceased by his step-father, Lester Rice.
Robert had worked at AC&T in Hagerstown and was a lifetime member of ABATE. He enjoyed going to the bay to fish on his boat with his wife and visiting with a special aunt and uncle, Rosemary and Eddie Hoffman.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley Hoke Ray; his son Austin L. Ray of Sharpsburg, MD; step-son Mark Thompson of West Virginia; step-daughter Chastity Hege of Chambersburg; three step-grandchildren; and his dog, Harley. He also leaves many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and a special sister-in-law, Jo Kesecker.
Services and interment entrusted to Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Chambersburg, PA will be private.
