Rose Marie Hollenshead

Rose Marie Hollenshead, 86, of Chambersburg, PA passed away Monday, August 4, 2025. Born December 2, 1938 in Chambersburg she was the daughter of the late Emory Jacob and Bessie Winifred Werdebaugh Saunders.

Rose was a 1956 graduate of the Chambersburg High School. Early in her career, she worked at the former Earl Kump Construction Company. She retired from F&M Trust Company after a lengthy career, working at Guilford Hills branch, Main Office, but most well-known at the West Side branch.

She enjoyed travelling, spending time with her family, trips to the casino, breakfast at 30 West, and daily drives, all with her loving husband, Jim, by her side.

She is survived by her husband, James C. Hollenshead, with whom she shared 67 years of marriage in June 2025. Also surviving is one son, Jeffrey L. (wife Deborah) Hollenshead; two grandsons, Andrew M. Hollenshead (Amber) and Justin L. Hollenshead (Amanda); five great-grandchildren, Ashlyn, Addyson Rose, Shelby, Aden, and Hunter; two sisters, Helen (Robert) Wyant, and Pamela (Michael) Winecoff; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Gerald "Jerry” Saunders.

Private graveside services will be held in Parklawns Memorial Gardens, Chambersburg, PA. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Arrangements are entrusted to the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, Chambersburg.
