Ruth Stubler, 90, a resident at Falling Spring Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Chambersburg, PA, died Saturday morning, March 17, 2012 in the nursing home. Born July 7, 1921 in Chambersburg, she was a daughter of the late Edward F. and Mary R. High. Ruth was a graduate of the former Chambersburg High School and was employed for more than thirty years at the former Stanley Company. She was a charter member of Christian Life Assembly of God and served as pianist for Bethel Assembly of God and Christian Life Assembly of God for more than fifty years.
She is survived by three nephews, Ronald G. High and Gary L. High, both of Chambersburg, and Dennis E. High of Shippensburg; a niece, Mary L. Burow of Grantville, MD; and a sister-in-law Janice C. High of Chambersburg. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her daughter, Carol R. Stubler; her brother, Guy E. High; her sister Enola H. Kelso; and her niece, Constance Craig.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Wednesday, March 21, 2012 in the Chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA. Rev. Leroy Wiley will officiate. Interment will follow at Norland Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Wednesday.
