Sandy Buhrman

Sandra “Sandy” Kay Buhrman, 70, of Chambersburg, PA passed away on August, 20, 2023 at home, after a six-year journey with Alzheimer’s Disease.
Born January 30, 1953, in Toledo, OH, she is the daughter of the late Audrey and Lila Towe.
She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Denny Buhrman; her two children: Chad Buhrman and wife Julie (Dech) of Mechanicsburg, PA and Jodi Buhrman and boyfriend Mike Schmidt of Charlotte, NC; three granddaughters: Claire Sheriff and boyfriend Juan Carlos Castillo of Phoenix, AZ, Ava and Nora Buhrman of Mechanicsburg, PA; sister Connie Towe of Chambersburg, PA; three brothers and sisters in law: Chris and Barb Buhrman of Chambersburg, PA and Mary Ann Buhrman of Hagerstown, MD; and several nieces and nephews.
As well as her parents, Sandy is preceded in death by her in-laws Moose and Sally Buhrman and her brother-in-law Bruce Buhrman.
Sandy is a 1971 graduate of Chambersburg Area Senior High and attended Hagerstown Community College. When her children were young, she cared for them and worked part-time teaching exercise classes. She later worked for Fashion Lane and retired from the Chambersburg Area Wage Tax Office.
A celebration of Sandy’s life will take place Sunday, September 17 at the Knights of Columbus in Chambersburg from 2pm – 5pm. Dress will be casual.
In lieu of flowers, cards, and food, donations can be made to Spiritrust Lutheran Hospice or the Chambersburg YMCA in Sandy’s memory.
The family would also like to thank Troy and Joann Fritz, Mike and Ellen Stoner, Janet Hawbaker, and The Trio: Annette Szady, Maryann Snyder, and Roxanne Bothe as well as her various caregivers for their loyalty to Sandy and continued support.
