Shirley Morris

Shirley Louise (Brumbaugh) Morris, 88, of Fayetteville, PA, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 29, 2024. Born October 22, 1935 in Fayetteville, she was the daughter of the late James H. and Bessie P. (Sollenberger) Brumbaugh. Her beloved husband of 64 years, Wallace W. “Wally” Morris, preceded her in death on November 25, 2017.

Shirley was a 1953 graduate of the Chambersburg High School. She served as the church organist at Calvary United Methodist Church in Fayetteville for over 50 years. She enjoyed playing cards and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is survived by her son, Jeffrey Morris (wife Tracy) of Fayetteville, PA; three grandchildren, Tim Morris of Chambersburg, PA, Lori Garner (husband Paul) of Fairfax, VA, and Desiree Bonebrake (husband Dan) of Fayetteville, PA; seven great-grandchildren, Layne, Tristan, Samuel, Caleb, Ella, Abigail, and Emily; and her beloved cat, “Fuzzy Britches”.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, February 2, 2024 in the chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA 17202. Rev. Jeremy Lehman will officiate. Interment will follow the service in Parklawns Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
