Sidney G. "Sid" Auman

Sidney G. Auman, 81, of Chambersburg, PA, passed away on February 11th, 2026, at Shook Home in Chambersburg, PA. He was born on November 29, 1944, in Chambersburg, PA to the late Harvey Grant and Hilda Jane (Gordon) Auman.

Sid was a 1962 graduate of Chambersburg Area Senior High School. He was employed by Sears, Roebuck and Co. as a Service Technician for over 43 years until his retirement. Most recently, he was a parts delivery driver for Fisher Auto Parts in Chambersburg. Sid’s hobbies included hunting, fishing, and flying model airplanes. He was a member of the American Model Airplane Flying Club, Lucky 13 Hunting Club, Chambersburg Squadron #46 Sons of The American Legion, and the VFW Post #1599 in Chambersburg, PA.

He is survived by his wife Ann K. (Harrison) Auman of Hershey, PA; sons Stephen G. Auman and his wife Nancy of Lebanon, PA; Paul E. Auman of Chambersburg, PA; grandchildren Jessica Thomas and her husband Dwight of Chambersburg, PA and great grandson Easton Thomas and Noah G. Auman and his wife Rachel of Shippensburg, PA.

A celebration of life will be announced at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center.
