Susan T. Cummings

Susan T. Cummings, 65, of Chambersburg, PA, passed away at Hershey Medical Center on Monday, August 3, 2026. Born January 21, 1961, in Johnstown, PA, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence and Helen (Donnelly) Heiser.

Susan was a member of the Ladies Auxillary of the Marine Corps League in Chambersburg. She enjoyed dancing, all kinds of parties, spending time with friends, and volunteering for numerous organizations. Her greatest happiness was spending time with family, especially her grandchildren.

She is survived by her loving husband, Wayne J. Cummings; her children Megan Wheeler (Elden) of Chambersburg, Katherine McInnis (John) of Chambersburg, Kristin Cummings of Chambersburg and Josh Cummings (Jillian) of Charlotte, NC; her siblings David Heiser (Paulette) of Poquoson, VA, and Roxanne Petrovich (Robert) of Carlisle, PA; brother in law Joseph Vogel of Daisytown, PA; also survived by her beloved eleven grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Though she will be deeply missed, Susan’s gentle spirit, steady presence, and the love she gave so freely will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her sister Kathleen Vogel.

In honoring Susan’s wishes, there is no public visitation. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Marine Corps League, 450 Grant Street, Chambersburg, PA 17201, on Friday, August 7, 2026 at 1:00 PM.
