Terrance Lee "Terry" Jones

Terrance L. “Terry” Jones, 75, of Chambersburg, PA, passed away on Tuesday, August 26, 2025, at his home after a courageous battle with cancer. Born July 24, 1950 in Chambersburg, he was the son of the late Walter R. and Mabel K. Miller Jones.

Terry was a 1968 graduate of CASHS. He was employed for 11 years as a bartender with the Marine Corps League Landis-McCleaf Detachment, and later as manager of the AmVets Post 224 for 17 years. After his retirement, Terry worked part-time in maintenance for the Chambersburg Club. In his younger years he enjoyed playing softball and flag football, but his passion was playing golf.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Linda D. Cox Jones, whom he married on December 18, 1973; two daughters, Caree Arbour (Garrett) of Grandy, NC, and Jessica Kauffman (Denny) of Chambersburg; four grandchildren, Cortnee Mangum (Ethan) of Washington DC, Chance McClure of Chambersburg, and Tierra and Hannah Kauffman of Chambersburg; two great grandchildren, Harper and Holden Mangum; his sister, Carol Hutchinson of FL; and his mother-in-law, Martha R. Cox of Chambersburg. Aside from his parents, Terry was preceded in death by his sister, Jaqueline Merryman.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Arrangements are entrusted to the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, Chambersburg, PA.
