Thomas R. “Tom” Myers, 68, of Chambersburg, PA passed away Wednesday, June 28, 2023 in the Chambersburg Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer. Born March 20, 1955 in Carlisle, PA he was the son of the late Jack P. and Vivian (Hedrick) Myers.
He was a graduate of Chambersburg Area Senior High School with the Class of 1973. In his earlier years he was employed at Pet-Ritz. For the majority of his career Tom was a self-employed painter. He was a member of the Chambersburg Baptist Church and the Chambersburg Club. Tom was an avid golfer and sports fan.
He is survived by a daughter, Maggie L. Leathers and her husband Jamie of Las Vegas, NV; a brother L. Allan Myers and his wife Val of Raleigh, NC; a sister Jackie Ricker and her husband Duite of Chambersburg; a niece, Kylie Weaverling and her husband Jeffrey; a nephew, Corey Ricker and his wife Ashley; and a number of great-nieces and great-nephews.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by an infant brother, Doug and brother, B. Todd Myers.
Services will be held 9:30 AM, Monday, July 3, 2023 in the Chapel of the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA 17202 with Pastor Kenny Craig officiating. Burial will follow in Salem Cemetery, Chambersburg.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM, Sunday evening as well as one hour prior to the service Monday morning in the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Chambersburg Baptist Church 741 S. Coldbrook Ave., Chambersburg, PA 17201.
