Virginia Frazier

Virginia Frazier, 86, of Chambersburg, PA, passed away on Sunday, September 14, 2025, at her home after a long battle with cancer. She was born on May 8, 1939, in Bedford, PA to the late Orville and Mary (Weyant) Strayer.

She was a 1957 graduate of Chestnut Ridge High School in Bedford, PA. She was a homemaker and raised her 4 boys. Later in life, she was employed as a Prison Matron at the Franklin County Jail and then as a Health Aide at Menno Haven in Chambersburg, PA. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, and spending time with her family and friends.

She is survived by her sons Jerry Frazier of Chambersburg, PA; Galen Frazier (Rachel) of Chambersburg, PA; Mark Frazier (Ruth) of Willow Hill, PA; daughter-in-law Jean Frazier of Chambersburg, PA; grandchildren Steve, Tiffany, Evan, Morgan, and Abigail Frazier; 6 great grandchildren; cousin Lynn Strayer; and special friend Judy Bivens. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her son Duane Frazier and brothers Gary “Sam” Strayer, and Edward “Ed” Strayer.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 4, 2025, at 10:00 AM at the Upper Path Valley Presbyterian Church 19950 Path Valley Road, Spring Run, PA 17262 with Rev. Dr. Meagan Boozer and Rev. Laurie Parsons officiating. Burial will be private.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center.
