William J. "Joe" Ward, Jr.

William J. “Joe” Ward, Jr., 66, of Waynesboro, PA passed away Monday, September 8, 2025, in the Chambersburg Hospital. Born January 12, 1959, in Gettysburg, PA he was the son of William J. Ward, Sr. of Brunswick, MD and the late Nancy (Wastler) Ward.

Joe was employed as an insulation installer for over 26 years. He was an avid fisherman.

He is survived by his loving wife, Peggy L. (Stanhope) Ward; two daughters, Suzette Simmers and Nikki Ward, both of Waynesboro; four grandchildren, J.P. Nelson, Dakota Hurley, Sophia Simmers, and Star Morris; a sister, Nancy Jean Snyder (Rick) and a niece, Amber. In addition to his mother, he is preceded in death by a brother, Tom Ward.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are entrusted to the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, Chambersburg.
